New e-Passport / Re-Issue of e-passport

 

Eligibility:

  • Bangladesh citizens with resident status in Canada and in possession of original Bangladesh passport [Hand-written/Machine Readable Passport (MRP)]. In case of loss of the original Bangladesh Passport, in possession of a lost passport police report
  • Foreign-born children of Bangladeshi citizens in possession of Digital Birth Registration Certificate (BRC) of Bangladesh Government

Required documents for completing the BDCG online application:

  • Copy of Bangladesh Passport. (In case of foreign-born children, copy of parents’ Bangladesh passports)
  • Copy of the National ID or 17-digit Birth Registration certificate
  • Proof of residency in Canada (Passport/PR card/ Study Permit/ Work Permit)
  • One 45mm X 35mm recent photograph with white background
  • Filled-in 'Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP) Form' generated from the online ePassport application

All fees payable by Bank Draft in the name of “Bangladesh Consulate General in Toronto”/Money Order/Certified cheque or Online payment or to be paid in-person by Debit/Credit Card at the Consulate. 

No cash payment received.

Processing time:

3-4 Weeks (ordinary), subject to Bangladesh police clearance

2 weeks with urgent fee, subject to police clearance

On the day of appointment, please bring with you:

  1. BDCG Online Application confirmation page along with original Bangladesh Passport (In case of lost passport and foreign-born children without any Bangladesh passport, may bring only the BDCG online application confirmation)
  2. Submitted Filled-in 'DIP Form' generated from the online e-Passport application (printed with PDF reader)
  3. NID or Birth Registration Certificate (Physical copy)
  4. Canadian ID (Physical copy of Passport/ PR card/ Study Permit/ Work Permit)

Delivery:

The Consulate will email the applicant when the passport is ready for collection (please ignore emails from the Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP).

Please bring the following document for collection:

  • Bring original passport and the delivery slip you received during passport enrolment. (In case of lost passport and foreign-born children without any Bangladesh passport, may bring only the deliver slip)
  • Authorized representatives (must bring his/her NID card) can collect the applicant’s new passport.


Applicants Must select Passport Office- "BD Mission - Toronto, Canada." While filling-in the DIP Form

For e-Passports, physical presence of the applicant is mandatory for biometrics
