Bangladesh Consulate General, Toronto provides various CONSULAR SERVICES to expatriate Bangladeshis resident in Canada.

 The Consulate has Consular Jurisdiction over the following provinces of Canada:

 Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan.

Eligibility

  1. Bangladesh citizens holding Canadian and Bangladesh passports (e-Passport/Machine Readable Passport (MRP)/Handwritten Passport with previous NVR seal / sticker).
  2. Bangladeshi citizens not in possession of Bangladeshi passports may be considered with Bangladesh National ID or 17-digit digital Birth Registration certificate (case by case basis).
  3. Canadian-born children of Bangladeshi citizens holding Canadian passports, but not holding Bangladeshi passports may be considered with Bangladesh National ID (NID) or 17-digit digital Birth Registration certificate (case by case basis) with parents’ Bangladeshi passports.

Required documents for completing the online application

  • Copy of Bangladesh e-passport / Machine Readable Passport/ Bangladesh Handwritten Passport with previous NVR seal / sticker.
  • In case of Canadian-born children without Bangladesh passports, copy of NID or Bangladesh Digital Birth Registration Certificate, Canadian Brith Certificate and parents’ Bangladesh passports.
  • Copy of Canadian Passport.
  • PDF copy of the filled-in Department of Immigration and Passport Visa Application Form generated from the Online MRV Application portal.
  • 45mmX35mm recent photograph with white background (not older than 6 months)


Fees 

C$ 80.00 (Canadian Dollar eighty)

Payableby Bank Draft (in the name of “Bangladesh Consulate General in Toronto”/Money Order/Certified cheque or Online payment or to be paid in-person by Debit/Credit Card at the Consulate. No cash payment received.


Processing time

  • 5 business days subject to submission of required documents.

** Note: There is no emergency service for NVR. If urgent, applicants may option for visa-on-arrival at a port of entry to Bangladesh. Holding confirmed AIR TICKET would not be treated as emergency.

 

On the day of appointment, please bring with you

  1. Canadian passport
  2. BDCGT Confirmation page 
  3. HARD COPY OF 45mmX35mm PHOTOGRAPH 

 

If sent by post

All required documents above with BDCGT Confirmation page, proof of payment and a trackable return envelope. 


Delivery

The Consulate will email the applicant when the passport is ready for collection. Please bring delivery slip for collection.
